When I was a child, I would occasionally visit my Grandfather In the Floridas, New Orleans LA
His wife at that time was a woman, whose name was Betty
Betty was culinarily gifted and know her way around the kitchen
I remember playing outside with all of my cousins
I would here my Grandfather and Ms. Betty fussing
It was always the consumption alcohol that would fuel the fire
But through it all Ms. Betty would still focus on communicating, caring and feeding us kids
In the air, smells of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice
Ms. Betty would make sure that I always had a full plate meal every time I spent the night
Ms Betty will always be remembered by me
Thank God for Ms. Betty's Life and for being apart of the upbringing of a young TEE
