I recall those sunny days

When we thought the pavement 

Would cave. 

Blaring music, while riding the sound waves

Old school,

But feeling like a pair of brand new shoes

Converse baby-

Everyone on the block knew it too.

Our backward caps falling to the ground

When the windmill hit motion

Pop & Lock so clean

You'd think we were floatin'

He bleeds the way I do

I'm not stepping down from the podium 

Until the hoarseness of my voice

Strong minds

 Your life brings strife. Uncle Sam's preoccupied with distributing knives. Somehow, trying to prepare us for a gun fight. What's right? Neither side convinces strong minds. I must be strong minded. There's too many people behind it. From a distance I see those sheep coming in herds. Strong minds, we're different, we come in flocks like birds. I pin liberty to my wings, because I was born to be free. Don't deny me life. I'm referring to those politicians who put blindfolds over our eyes. There's no conspiracy! Strong minds see through lies. I'm not waiting on a ballot to restore humanity. The answer's not in Trump or Hilary. The program you've glued yourself to is orchestrated by the political guru's. They already knew you'd eat that s*** up. Because for some...there's no such thing as truth. Population brainwashed by the electric tube.

Wine . . .

Tastes so delicious when it meets the edge of your lips

I personally savor the liquid sensation

Losing myself in an alcoholic embracement

My glass barely filled

Keeps me satisfied among laughing friends

Our conversation tantalized with drunkenness

A few young women pleased with the way life has been spent.

Wine and friends.

More than recreational, more than some postponed get-together

This is a few good women drinking on behalf of feminine revolution.

For the trials and tribulations.

With politics sweeping the background noise in high volume

The world seems so peaceful through this wine bottle.

We are not winos.

We celebrate our promotions.

Roses and Thorns

This particular flower, holds so many thorns

As if screaming behold thy pain

Such a carnation

So sweet and subtle 

Imperfect perfections in which the other flowers were obsessed.

Dressed casually in ribbon 

Yet so discreet with each petal.

She stands feminine 

Apart from other glories 

Modest in affection, but unfound

In fairy tale sections

Chaos splitting the groove within her stem

She feels rejected

In one loves view

So seldom in love

Who knew?

From each spot she is bruised

Her palms so small
