Black Marmalade

The reasons are your own on why you spilled the black marmalade, to watch it ooze and flow beneath your foe and all the while taking into account your own power over life and death. You can say the cards where dealt in your soul you reasoned and righted for that simple moment when you attempted to end a life. 

You spread it thick and wide and life left that black body and there you stand, a portrait of indignation. A false prophet practicing his own religion. 

Halloween Poems

Its that time of the year again where we dress up and part of us are living statements of halloween poems. We tell a story with who we are this time of year and it is interesting to see what some people think of themselves. You ever felt like a black goblin, like you were haunting this world. 

Or a black witch. Interestingly enough, we are the only ones that go out into the world and talk about each other in a way that would not be welcomed in pleasant conversation. We are motivated to achieve so much more and most of the time it seems like we are falling short. 

But yet we persevere in this monstrosity of life and weaves its beautiful patterns into our lives. I say a prayer for the dead but they need not say a prayer for me. We are all a part of this world and I am thankful for the people that were in mine. 

I think them for all they have done for me and my talent is the gift that I give back to God. 

Boo.

Black Refunds

Can you imagine getting a refund for being black. What is the first thing you would do? Do you go an cash in all your chips and wish for a better life. Why not do it just now? Live the life you have imagined and know that you are one with the world but it also has to be one with you. 

You need to use the power of your will to bring forth everything that you want in this life. There is only so far that we can go in finding someone to blame. If those people are not a part of our journey, then why are you still on the same road. 

You are sitting with a full plate and still havent been able to find the fork in the road. Your cup does not runneth over and if it does, isnt it about time you emptied it. It is definitely easier to fill an empty cup and sometimes are minds are just to busy. 

We do not see the world as it is, we see the world as we are. So decide on exactly who you want to be. I am a witness so I am here with you. 

Black History Poems For Church

With this prose, I am going back in time where there could have been such a thing as black history poems for church. Where we take the gospel into our own hands and we push the limits of things that can be accomplished and we push the very fabric of our spirits to make sure that we are seen and heard. 

And if nothing else, I can hear you and that is gospel. I am singing a hymn right now to myself and I know that in my heart the world can hear me. In the undertones I can hear the hymns of others lightly blowing in the ether and I am moved by them. 

Our history is the worlds history and we are more than we seem and still dont measure up to what we can actually achieve in this world. 

Love stands supreme and our love of self is what keeps us in tact and consistently moving forward.

The best poetry books could not have foreseen this life. This was completely unexpected and I want you to know that I am here with you. I want you to feel like just when everyone has given up hope that I am here with you. 

We are writing new chapters as we speak and we want the world to hear our thoughts, our most important ones. The ones that help us feel like we are alive. Like we are meant to do more, to be more, to apply ourselves more and this is still true and will always be true. 

You are a piece of stardust and the Universe is made of particulars, the very same particulars that you are made of. So never underestimate your importance. 

There is a magic power in believing and since we believe the same thing, we are living the same dream.

Big Bone Jesse

I would be splitting hairs if I told who he really was, people just called him Big Bone Jesse. I think that is the one thing about being big and black, the media engine has already helped the world pass judgement on you so you have a daily hourly minutely secondly reminder that you are black. So much so that it clouds your thoughs and all of the actions you perceive are wrapped in w whirlwind of "what have I done wrong?" 

The first one of those things being that you were born black and then you grew into a body that made frail people afraid. But it was a distant fear, when when they feel like they are not even able to approach you because the marketing has done its work. 

And all the while, your thoughts are eating away at themselves, trying to make sense of things that are and what things could be. A wedge is driven in your psyche so deep that you are surprised by a number of things and the first one being how did it get there in the first...

Poetic License

I can freestyle this thing, I have a poetic license. I was born to be something else, something that is more than fed by the mind control of fear. I have a warriors spirit and my aim is to overcome all obstacles and that is with the guidance of my Lord and Savior. 

With his guidance, I came tame the world because I endeavor to maintain control of my own thoughts. I am constantly moving forward and I remain unstoppable. I have the mentorship and there is nothing new under the sun. 

Only my thoughts and the special wisdom that I carry with me. I am forever grateful. 

Omen

You cant miss the omen, it was there for everyone to see. You are an all powerful being and you have been denying it for too long. Those dreams that you remember are songs of greatness, of a future revealed to you and you are just working your way forwards to it. 

Dont let doubt stop you but it should push you to move forward to that ever nearing horizon.

You just need to step across that line where you understand that everything and anything is working towards your future. That never ending greatness that is you.

Sunrises and Sunsets

I was in the middle of something, I dont know if the sun was rising or setting at the time. I remember it was a beautiful day and it was not like any other day. This day was special. 

I sort or realized it when I woke up in the morning. I knew for certain that something was special about this day but it could have been the fact that I was in it. I lived to see another day and with that came opportunities to move forward in a Godly way. 

I was seeing God in everything and I was grateful. I saw nothing but opportunities in the sunrises and sunsets.

Spectre

You ever felt like something has been chasing you, a spectre, a grimly ghost that walks in a pattern that we recognize sometimes and at other times is totally eratic. We are the servants of God and all the while avoiding this fear. 

We are greater than we believe we are and we need to crank up the volume on what is truly possible, deafening and all the while holding praise as conquer and defeat our enemies. 

This is a chemical blend, brewed and baked in our own perspiration. We were indeed built for this and we thrive and persevere in darkness all the while carrying a light within us.
