before the universe
               was made

                    gas and dust
           and myriad grades
           of shade

        
          quantum things
          of branes and strings
            and odd imaginings

          long before serpents dwell
                       in the land of Eden
                           
              before the flood
              before the long rains fell
                
                
       permutations made by touch
                           and incantations
    
                    B R E D
    
                    by will
                    and ancient gods
       
          eons before
          The All was named
                    
                    
            thou shall not worship
                              false Gods

                  or have any other God
                  before The All

                   
         The All does not crave
         idolatry
                              notoriety  .  .  .
                      
         nor need infamy to be

            The All needs not
            vengeance nor murder
                    jealousy nor envy

                    Peace of War
                         divination
                           devotion
                              prayer
                          
            nor enslave
            sons and daughters
            
                          
               beware the watchers
               
          they have fallen
          for the daughters of men
          
          
          praise be The All
          who has given birth
          to the children of Kem
                          
                          
     The Gods
     have reneged on their promise

         but there's still The All
          the crucifix of worship
           
            
                 hearts afill with
                 hatred and wickedness
            
        hiding in darkness
        from the light of night
             
               dark be the bondage
      of the wrath and the might
       
            forests turned to stone
                        seas to deserts
                            the air burns
                     

      the extreme is mainstream
          
      convinced          
      the nightmare's dream is real
          
                  lost in the corridors
                              of past time
                         
                         
      everything has shifted red
      the discovery is the search
                      the truth unsaid  .  !
                         
           fear grows in ignorance
              
      
                tears of joy and woe
      
                m i x  .  .
      
                the waters greed
                      to discontent
                  
                  
       i n f i n i t y  .  .
       
       just another number
       
                        l a r g e r  .  .
       
       than infinity plus one
       
        
              if eternity exists
