I sat in the middle of the floor, gazing in disbelief at this little black boy with a fierce afro dancing and singing on stage with his 4 brothers on American Bandstand. I called for every one to come watch the black and white screen at that very moment I started to dream. You could see an angel in his smile and he made you want to dance, dance, dance when he shouted
"JUST LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER HONEY"
he made you feel like he was talking directly to you he made you believe that he would always be there I was just 6 or 7 years old when I first witnessed this unforgettable event in history and history he did make.
The child within has the tendency to save or destroy
the man never emerged from the boy
he surrounded his self with girls boys and toys
he wrote out his pain and weaved his sorrow in his songs
he lived the life he wanted to live
he gave what he wanted to give
still happiness he never found
they knocked him down but he got back up
he shouted
"DON'T STOP TILL YOU GET ENOUGH"
he sang and danced his way to the top of the charts
when he belted out a song he stole our hearts
now the king of pop is gone his legacy will live on and on
haters are still trying to tare him apart regardless
of what they say he died of,a broken heart played a part
