Whose America is it?
The ones who had it
To begin with?
There’s Indigenous blood
In my lineage
Wasn’t there to witness
The atrocities committed
When America
Was conquered
For its riches
Was the “white man”
Burning or building bridges
It depends on your vision
It’s never been
“Catch and release”
You plant your flag
The same as seeds
Take no hostages
Show no mercy-
Red clay stains
The bones decayed
Clean rivers
Now polluted-
No basin for water
The cup is ruined-
That’s man’s way
From the beginning
A fallen spirit
Without a remedy
Waged wars precede
Four scores
Check the history
Can’t blame
Just one group
Humanity needs
Saving
In the pages
Of the word
God speaks-
The fruit didn’t fall from the tree
It was picked by Eve
Before she convinced
Adam to consume a piece
Lucifer led us to sin
That’s why
The heart’s unclean
So you tell me
Whose America is it?
The “first” or the “second”
On American soil
Should only one
People inherit?
This land
Was created
With divine hands
God instructed that we
Make residence
On Mother Earth
When she was celibate
Meanwhile
Nature provides the medicine
We marched to Calvary! † (Up to the Holy Land.)
Rain Danced! and touched ground,
Then
Marched on Washington!
While Lady Liberty
Tips the Scales of Justice.
Regulated Militias
Are Baring Arms, (Inciting riots!)
Radicals & Rebels
won't sit tight or stay silent!
We point our fingers, place the blame...
Then make peace with the violence
America!
That hour was not your finest
The world’s in a crisis
Luxury is still enticing
Told to rely
On celebrities
To save the climate
Push a “green deal”
Or die trying
Integrity’s traded for:
“Electric or hybrid”
We’re separated
For the wrong reasons
(A house divided)
We shook hands
And made amends,
then we clashed & collided
Stand firm
In your beliefs
To prevent misguidance
Can you overthrow
A system if it’s
One-sided?
People!
Get your torches reignited
Pump those fists
Until you are united
If this is your America
Raise your voices
Now’s not the time
To remain quiet!
