first love

Didn’t meet him when I was supposed to.
Didn’t want to show my interest to soon.
My friend said you should see him.
Buff and brown guy,
Nice height, and did I mention his smile
Swear you can see it from a half mile. So bright it made me feel so light.
On my feet.
Made my knees fall weak.
Made my soul take flight.
And his touch
Was just right, just right, but this is not love.
Since that day we met, every night before i close my eyes i thought abbout you holding me.
Cant forget that night we danced with the stars and I went to Jupiter and you went to mars.
So close we were far apart.
But the sun ignited a flame.
While stems spread like they were cut with a blade my blood flowed through my veins quick like a stream.
Nothing stopped me.
Not even that look in your eyes that surprised look in your eyes
This continued naturally.
Nothing but silly soft whispers and petty kisses on my lips kept me.
Then distance crept up and shadowed me.
Blinding me of everything we almost had.
And turning this progression into digression.
Like a glass you saw right through me,
And when it shattered I was the one with the surprised look.
Now my mind has to be emptied and filtered of everything you feed it. Greedy it ate from your plate.  Telling me things my ears didn’t want to beleive.
A message my eyes didn’t want to see.
Took me a while to understand,
I had to let go of your hand.
You are a strong man to let go of these soft gracious hands and let them fall into another’s.
For another man to hold my hand.
I was set free.
Why so easily was I set free,
To be alone again.
I will go quietly,
although Your love is what I need.
Had no choice but to hope you would turn around and

Walk too me
Run too me
Come back to me
Say yes to me
