Sit back
Whispered the voice inside my head
Put down the gun
Its power may offend someone
Suddenly we all forgot what it means to protect
Ourselves
We rather compromise and flirt with the flame
That burned us from the beginning
So stop smacking your gum
While talking out of your a**
It looks wrong
You should keep your mouth closed
Screamed the teacher
Because she knows
That with her own game
I cant beat her

Teach me the best of the world.
Don't lie
I know we hand out
Books
Claiming the history
Of America
Appears innocent
What about the Natives
Give them credit
We were the ones to segregate them
In the first place
So tell me something I don't already know
Show me the reason you get paid
Or else I'm walking out
Like you built this cat walk for me
So much for this country
Working together as a unit
We rather talk s*** about each other
And watch as someone else shoots it
Son of a b****
Somebody just pissed outside the oval office
I watched as security went out and put his nose in that stain
Like he was puppy
Bang
Bang
Look who is in charge
Don't worry I'll wait
Who are you anyway?

I know that you stand two feet from my space
I know this because I can tell
You suck out the air from beneath
As I go to inhale -

You take a deep long staggering breath
Like you just ran a marathon and you're giving birth from your chest

I understand
It's all about independence and being home free
My friend you forgot to read what was between the lines
(And in parenthesis)

All of those in-betweens separate you and me

But I'll give you your freedom
If you promise never to be yourself
I expect that you share your wealth
With everybody else

Although you sweat to get the money you deserve
Not by drug dealing
Or pimping hoes

You are the blue collar super hero

That nobody knows

So I pledge my allegiance to those in the front row
Who decided that being free means making your own window
Of opportunity
