Let me take you home

I’m not a frustrated teenager in denial.
I am more than just a nice face with a smile.
Come inside and let me call you my own
And since home is where the heart is; please, let me take you home.

It wasn’t wrong for us to start this
And what’s tarring us apart is,
The fact that we’re apart;
And our love is getting further from the heart.
See love is kinder tough you see
because love is not enough you see,
You and I are still to have it rough you see..

I’m not a frustrated teenager in denial.
I am more than just a nice face with a smile.
Come inside and let me call you my own
And since home is where the heart is; please, let me take you home.

Forced to part within a boundary,
It feels like you are taking steps without me..
Let’s take trust and put you and me between-
The truth that tells us where you and I have been
Because the pain that you and I have seen,
Is enough to make us feel unclean-
And untold stolen pleasures are still unclean...

I’m not a frustrated teenager in denial.
I am more than just a nice face with a smile.
Come inside and let me call you my own
And since home is where the heart is; please, let me take you home.

We shouldn’t get use to being alone
Because the cold seeps closer to the bone
And frozen joints make it hard to pick up the phone...
You see broken hearts can’t beat on their own...-
You see a king is nothing next to an empty throne
And when a king is nothing his soul turns to stone...

I’m not a frustrated teenager in denial.
I am more than just a nice face with a smile.
Come inside and let me call you my own
And since home is where the heart is; please, let me take you home.
