Stereotypical Discretion

Label me as a threat because of my skin color, don't even give me a chance and label me like the others, lost souls who's stories go untold, just another black man tryna make it out the cold, born with a disadvantage, character already damaged before I even had chance to speak up for myself, seen as a menace to society, when I see police I can't help but feel anxiety, because see I don't have to be in the wrong just to get harassed on my way home, after a hard days labor, slaving for a minimum wage, praying to my maker to make a better way, before its too late and I am persuaded by the devil and his ways, easy money traps get you caught up in the trap, and that's not how I was even raised, they rather give me dope, before they give me hope, so its hard to stay straight when that crooked life pays, so much for the straight A's I got in high school, working for a college degree hopefully that'll get me some pull, or maybe I'm just a fool, to think that a higher education would somehow make me excepted, the truth is a piece of paper could never change my complexion, and my future is at your stereotypical discretion....
