The Grave Beside me

It hurts to face the day any more,

Life pulled down by the fear,

Is it worth it,

Or should we just throw it all away?

They say life is good,

But we're never really alive when all we can think is how dead we are inside,

So what have we left to lose,

Isn't it our own path to chose?

Should we go to the right,

Were all the smiling people are,

When our hearts say fallow the others like you,

Should we fallow something weak and broken?

Is this where we drop the blade,

Say good bye to yesterday,

To feel the sunshine on your face,

Or is this just another life we take?

We try not to drag the others down with us,

But when they hold us so near,

It scars us all I fear,

Still I ask why not let it end here?

I can't let you fall to the grave with me,

Is it better to die alone,

Then for your love to die with you,

How can we ever tell?

All that we'll ever know is that time flows by,

Things change and we love and we cry,

Each moment passing only leaves another moment wasted,

Should you and I not seize them all?
