Casual Observer:

This feels like,

Edge deep,

Resistance,

Band snap back,

Jarring motion,

Sudden and repulsive,

Left me cursing and spitting,

Despite the audience.

But they would want me to continue,

Salivate at my discomfort.

After all, it's better to observe,

Rather than feel,

Pain.

Spine tickling narcicism,

Enraptured, parabola,

Upturned asymptote,

That might represent the void,

I'd been trying to cover.

This feels like,

Center circle,

Circus living.

Put on display like,

The acrobatic elephant,

Bedazzled head dress slightly askew.

Raving lunatic, manic tiger,

Snapping at trainer.

No,

applause would only serve,

To further enrage the beast.

Best to look away,

Avert your eyes,

Peek through fingers,

Splayed across face.

Better, not to admit fascination.

It's frowned upon to enjoy watching death,

However subtle, by inches.

This feels like,

Indentured emphasis,

Of the opposite of how life is,

Meant to be lived.

A not so subtle reminder,

People should eat healthier,

Exercise more.

Why children should listen to,

Their parents,

Eat all their vegetables,

Avoid sweets and stagnation.

But my mind is anything but.

Those adjectives

Sloven,

Lazy,

Slow,

Immoral,

Glutonous.

Those words imply intention.

The act of giving up.

And I've never been one to walk away from a challenge.

This feels like,

Put your Dukes up,

Inspiratation.

Metaphor for right cross,

Upper cut dodged.

What else would life throw at me?

Whatever it was,

I'd bob and weave.

Avoid,

Invert asymptotic parabolas,

Draining the negative away,

Leaving the weightles,

The light.
