I’m here to share a wealth of knowledge…..to some that may sound scary

A mind is a terrible thing to waste, some would arbitrarily say

If my sharing helps someone, then…. I don’t mind, giving it away

My bible says to give and it shall be given to you, in good measure

Pressed down, shaken together and running over, such an endless treasure

Every time I share one poem, God replenishes me with two

So really what’s the big deal….if someone borrows a few

If you should take this liberty, you’ve now become my apprentice

God does not condone usury, but I’m sure, he’ll repay me with interest

It may seem inconceivable that my poems continue to mount

Let’s see….500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000….I’m sorry….. I just my lost count

I came here to write, because I love to read

It only requires pen and paper, to fulfill my poetic need

With each stroke of my pen, I’m transcending my concentrations

With the beginning of each new line, I’m completing my liberation

Whether discussing urban warfare, injustices, love, or politics

My emotions are never fleeting, and each point eternally sticks

Darwin couldn’t have ever theorized, nor could nature have resolved

A gathering of so much artistic talent, where poetry would evolve

A dynamic forum filled with class, where literary inventions come alive

Poetry doesn’t merely exist, through pure expression it really thrives

Poetry frees my mind from the bondage of suppressive inner disputes

As we plant these seeds of thought, to produce the healthiest fruit

Reverberating concepts, sounding a unified tone

March! In the waning days of our historical month, the whole world should confess; March! we received the shortest span but we always do more with less

Marriage Prayer

 Lord Bless our marriage, anointing our wedding vows; we're asking you for the future because we trust in you right now

As we enter holy matrimony please show us the way; to be husband and wife for a lifetime and bride and groom for a day

We won't go it alone as some others might allege; please enter the words we speak as we make this solemn pledge

As we leave the altar walking hand in hand; let every step we take into our marriage be ordered in your plan

Two separate individuals have become a single pair; keep us bound within your spirit this is our marriage prayer

Lord please bless our marriage on this our wedding day; as we stand before you together this is where we will stay

Standing in your presence we know what's at stake; bless this to be a marriage that only you can make

Shelter us with your kindness and surround us with your peace; give our home an environment where patience will always increase

Am I you are you me when people look at us exactly what do they really see
Do I have your spirit living in me when we walk together do our hearts agree.

It appears that without each other’s eyes you would both be half blind

They sent a clergy into a combat zone and now that very reason is greatly unknown
He was known as a Captain by rank and title; but his work for the clergy is what became most vital
Are we not all soldiers in the army of the Lord; diligently working for our glorious and eternal reward
Therefore this garment we wear in this environment; does not always our true selves always represent
For they are only clothing of our service to man; but our spiritual garments fit into my god’s plan
