I’m happiest on mornings like this
Mornings when I can quietly visit my thoughts
The millions of ramblings jousting for my attention
A lottery of which select I will choose
Issues that have plagued my week are tossed to the side
My shortcomings will have to wait
Because on this beautiful morning I simply want to smile
I love it when I’m bombarded with memories I thought I lost
Glimpses of my past I assumed were erased
Mornings like this I’m lucky
I don’t deserve mornings like this
My mornings haven’t been this intimate in awhile
I can’t remember the last time I heard her song birds singing in my ear
Her cool breeze hugged me as soon as I hit the street
Sunlight gently kissed my cheek
I really don’t deserve mornings like this
