Woke up this morning looked all around

Decided to take a walk down town

The march is on for Martin Luther Kingâ€¦He had a dream

Then why is everybody looking gansta mean?

What happened to us?

Hip Hop fell to the back of the bus

Uneducated fools got a million bucks

Makes no sense KRS1 could have been president

I donâ€™t mean any harmâ€¦but health care reform?

Iâ€™m not sick I donâ€™t have the FLU

What happened to 40 acres and a muleâ€¦remember that?

We are still waiting like weâ€™re waiting forâ€¦ Jesus to come back

We got false prophets who are rock stars

Light cameras action mansions and fancy cars

Claiming their cooking up in jars

Putting their fan base behind bars

Makin figures off of us when we act like N*ggaâ€™s

Sale out

We fell out

Hand out

We need bail out

On fire we need hell out

Shackles on our feet we canâ€™t dace to this beat

Pull up your pants man

We are not puppets we need no masterâ€¦no sir

Slanging and banging is not an occupation

I see the time when I stood in a circle hoping to be picked to play on a team I can see when I was the last one standing and the last one to pick had no choice but to choose me I could see how that made me feel I could see me being the best player on the field catching the ball putting it in the net running touchdowns hitting home runs I could see me MVP I could see me in VIP I could see me graduating Magna Cum Laude I could see me being life of the party I could see it from a far

Tune Up

listening to a song I want to hear thinking about the time I first heard it on the radio a time when I could tune in to any station I wanted to but had no choice over the song the DJ played waiting patiently to listen to the song I wanted to hear fast forward through the years now I can type in words on the computer hey Google or ask Alexa to play any song I want to hear the creative power to tune out all the things I don't want to listen to and tune into the things I do "Keeps My Head to to the sky"

you didn't get on the plane you didn't board the train you missed the bus the ship sailed without you those awaiting your arrival knew you were running late but still thought you were on the way so they continued to wait but you changed your mind and decided to stay and wait on those who you thought needed you more than those waiting for you to arrive you were going somewhere but decided not to after you been used you decide to leave but when you arrive you'll find yourself alone those who patiently wait will not wait for long those who hold you back will always stab you in the back every chance is a chance to live a better life don't keep others waiting for you to decide to leave those who don't want to see you go "GO"

Mode

a simple mind can figure out complex things and not forget all the details a complex mind can complicate things bring down the plane derail the train and scramble a egg inside its shell in the tale the scarecrow was simple minded if he only had brain a simple mind is defined foolish feeble and artless like "an artless literary masterpiece" can be the mastery of a mastermind a simple mind will fool you every time a complex mindset is set on predictability
