At a time in your life when you don't have a penny, you scratch,
you claw, you think about breaking the law, but who gives a damn
in a world of plenty. Living an unstructured life, never
asking anyone for a dime, that was my only crime
Never asked for a handout, never been a bandit and never
saw the injury coming my way
I have heard you should save for a rainy day but being a War vet,to
me every day may be your last day
With that notion wedged in my brain, it is only I the blame
So when you want to do and can not do, someone I had to turn to
Though you go here, you go there, fill out this, you missed this
brings about a frustrating situation
In no position to command or make demands you soon just set and fret
Do a lot of meditating but all the time you feel so degrading when you
ask for help and your urgency is not felt
When things are out of your hands, turn to GOD who makes
no demands
