She

just different

Her heart plays second fiddle to her mind
She's no fool
She doesn't believe in fairytales
She plays by her own rules
She was broken many times in the past
By wolves dressed in sheeps clothing
Who weren't aware her trust was golden
She learned the hard way
Don't believe what they all say
Words satisfy the moment
But actions they go a long way
She'd rather hold him close and dance under the moonlight
Than talk about a future
Cause the latter she was use to
Those predictions never came true
So she just enjoys the moments
She may seem a little cold but
I wouldn't say love she's opposing
She's just a little cautious
The up & down coaster of love left her nauseous
And even though his ride left her sick
She had the time of her life
And wants to face the thrills of love again
Somewhere down the line
She'll even open up her eyes and scream a little less this time
If she could only find the right partner to hold her hand tight

I believe this describes the black woman to a T but I have not seen how other cultures deal with it or if they have to.
