At a glance I saw her stance strolling past the bench.
So I walked up to her and said:
"Remember me?
From the far end of your classes?
You know, where the classroom trash is,
the skinny kid, always pushing up his glasses?"
She replied; after staring at my frame:
"Well I see some things have changed"
Then my snorting laughter came
"And some things stay the same."
And we free falled into recalled memories
of hee-haws and my tree tall enemies.
And as I watched her speak
I couldn't understand it;
how we spoke of different worlds
but from the same planet.
I was still awed by her presence.
Ignoring every sentence.
And all I could do is smile.
Then she smiled for a while.
and she asked:
" I'm going to get some coffee,
Do you want to come too?"
"Well I have to meet my girlfriend,
But it was nice bumping into you."
