A meaningless letter

Before my pen even hit this paper I knew it was a waste of time, ink & effort.
I knew you would read this the same way a color blind man reads the beauty of his surroundings standing in a vast meadow of wildflowers.
I knew that even if I could capture the pure sweetness of honey,the intense radiance of sun, or the calming sensation of a cool breeze on a hot summers day under the shadiest of trees in my words that they would be only that to you; words.
I knew that you would see these words and feel just as indifferent as the mountains when the mightiest winds blow...

But if my words did have some effect; if my words did matter- I would tell you that you are the physical embodiment of hapiness;
The exact feeling I would get right after I've jumped into the open air from the highest cliff, knowing that your angelic wings will spread & carry me into the sky.
I would tell you that I have never felt so close to another living being; so close that sometimes I don't even know who's heart is beating when I have you in my embrace.
I would tell you that I want to be with you forever.
If what I wrote on this piece of paper were more than just a random combination of words to you; & you truly grasped the meanings behind them... Then I would tell you: I love you.
