Streets Of Evil

Newark New Jersey U.S.A.; it's gotten pretty sick, cause bullets fly like lightning bugs around the City Brick,

election time is comin; politicians feel the hit, to come up with solutions fast as if they give a sh!t.

Come walk among the streets of evil where the bodies fall, where loved ones leave balloons and lit-up candles by the wall,

it just aint safe; the violence has the city by the balls, an epidemic that I call "The Rising Of The Fall".

I think back on the days when it was safe to play outside, with all your friends around you it was safe to stay outside,

but nowadays you better get your @ss up in the house, before you catch somebody's misaimed blast up in your mouth.

My brother lost his life and he was only thirty-three, two sons and pending nuptials now he's in the dirt you see,

it didn't make much sense until it hit me close to home, a lifetime worth of memories and times enclosed in bone.

It's sure to get much better but for now it stays much worse, the nights in death grow longer when compared to days of birth,

the times which I were raised are dead and gone; they be deceased, like all the people out there dying in these evil streets.

A change must come.
