As he knelt there in the garden
His heart felt the torment of humanities sin.
Knowing that through his act of sacrifice
Humanity could overcome death through him.
He cried out loud to the father
To “please take this cup if there’s any other way
“But your will be done and no not mine
I shall move on to pave the wayâ€
He took his last glance at heaven
Before the soldiers came to arrest
His tears were thick like blood droplets
And his heart would palpitate deep in his chest
Judas was the one to betray him
And lead him to slaughter like a sheep
The remaining disciples feared what was happening
They thought his promises he could not keep
Little did they realize
That it was a part of the prophecy
In order for him to save us
He had to die for humanity
Be like the Passover lamb
To be sacrificed for our iniquities
And if they understood the process
They knew he’d resurrect and grant us tranquility
He now was placed onto the stake
To be even tortured some more
The nails hammered into his wrists
Created pain down to his core
Then his feet were planted
One upon the other
The large nails pierced his feet
So his lungs, his own blood would smother.
The unbearable pain
That covered the entirety of his being
He prayed to the father to forgive them all
For they did not know who they were seeing
As he breathed his final breath the earth shook at his leaving
The disciples stared at his corpse
While his mother continued her grieving
But his death seemed to be honestly deceiving
For His death would grant us life
In order for us to gain eternity
He had to suffer insurmountable human strife
Those moments were torturous not only for his followers
But for any human being to see the manner of his death
To see his body hanging on the stake
There seemed to be nothing left!
His breath had been with dawn
Thus He no longer could verbally articulate
That by His ultimate redeeming sacrifice
He sealed any followers fate
Our names would be written
In the book of life written before all and any creation
Only if we willfully obey and follow the Son of God
Without any kind of hesitation
He does not require of us to be perfect
For that is what he is willing to give
Not only that of course
But to eternally happily live
His resurrection is the very purpose
Of my continued persistent living
I want to give my heart of knowledge to the world
Because Christ continues to me giving
I remain here today praising Jesus
Even in the midst of my greatest of physical despair
It is my responsibility to offer his love ot others
For unto others His love does desire ot share
Not only peace of mind
But a tranquil spirit within you too
He gave himself for me individually
But gave himself for you too
He dies for the world as a whole
Even though knowing many would just ignore
But He continues to prod at peoples hearts
Trying to get into their hearts door
You have the choice to ignore the feeling
Or over ride the voice you hear
But just know before you lay your head to rest
That God truly does love you so dear!
