Every man is a soldier,

Every day is a new battle,

Life is a war front,

And death is the only way out....

AUTUMN TIME

The trees are brown,

And the blinds go down,

Summer time is now behind,

No more pools, and no one minds.

Autumn dats are here again,

Here to stay till Winter comes,

Chilly nights are here again,

But starry skies are out and bright.

SHOW N TELL

My turn is next so come and hear,

This is shining stone from a lonely star,

Always bright, yet ever dark,

Leading paths in ancient past.  

This is a flute from my ancestors past,

Deep at night they'd blow on it,

Spinning tales and singing stories,

Stories of war and stories of love,

Famous words from a land so far.

PREDATOR AND PREY

Watching and praying,

Hoping and wishing,

Scared and shaking,

Waiting and hiding,

Sweating and breathing,

....The fate of the hunted.  

PREDATOR,

Watching and looking,

Careful and thinking,

Stalking and walking,

Prowling, no retreating,

A mission to survive,

....The fate of the hunter.                      

I KNOW

I know I'm not the best man in the world,

But, I know I've got the best mom in the world,

I know she worries, thinks and cries alot,

But, I'm always there to make her laugh and smile alot.  

I know two things you're doing right now,

Your reading my poem and smiling right now,

I know you've just gone back two lines to read this again,

Let's hope you smile and do it again!  

I know one thing that controls us all,

Money and riches, they deceive us all,

I know on thing that we all should have,

Love, not hatred, should we all have.  

I know one thing that we all want to know,

Everything and anything, we all wish to know.                        

FAMILY COLORS

Black rimmed hats and brownish scarfs,

Darkish colors my mum does like.  

Purple gowns and greenish martians,

Those two colors my sisters like.  

Bluish shirts and moving clouds,

Blue and white my dad does like.  

Blackish shirts and Bluish shoes,

Black and blue my heart desires.  

I know the colors my family like,

But do you know your familys' heart?                    

NIGHTMARE STREET

Terrible things happen at night,

Nightmarish things do come out to fight,

Dark and evil is the fleet,

That seem to sail past Nightmare Street.  

Ghoulish trolls with gnomes for feet,

Boogey men beneath the sheets,

Howling werewolves and lurking spiders,

Headless men like and headless riders.  

Creepy darkness at every corner,

Plotting witches that are 6 feet under,

Creaking trees with casted shadows,

Goblins and Pixies on Weeping Willows.  

Brisky night and glorious moon,

Looking down as danger looms,

Night has come, you dare not sleep,

For things we fear are on Nightmare Street.                                    

Frog Haven

There’s a place where we can dance,

Dance and dance into a trance,

There’s a place where we can prance,

Leap and prance into the clouds.

I have friends there that live in bogs,

Always stretching out there tongues,

Be sure to know I’m never wrong,

They’re the friends we all call frogs.

Standing high on lily pads,

They seem to rule the world of flies,

But when the humans come to build their house,

They still stand tall looking o, so wise.

They hide their feelings as we stand in lines,

Shouting, “Save The Frogs, that would be nice.”

Frogmania

Ask the kids what jumps and leaps,

This is what you hear from their lips,

A slimy, yucky, murky frog that speaks!

And so they laugh and crack their ribs.

Ask the kids their favorite game,

This is what they say without shame,

Leap frog, jump frog, they’re not the same!

And so they laugh and take the blame.

Ask the boys what makes girls scream,

This is what they say with glee,

Slimy, squirmy frogs and tea!

And so they laugh until they grin.

I hear the humans want to build,

Houses upon their homes and guilds,

Squishing, squashing our squirmy friends,

What a nightmare, they still won’t yield!

When the kids hear the teacher’s bell,

There’s no time for them to yell,

For when she asks about the frogs so swell,

There’ll be nothing to show and te...

DECK OF CARDS

Shuffle.....Shuffle....  

Life is like a deck of cards,

Always changing; ups and downs,

Does the same thing to our Hearts,

Joker's laughing just like clowns.  

King of Spades and Queen of Hearts,

Life does rule us, that's its Ace,

Clubs and weapons she gives birth,

Earth our home is still her base.  

Diamonds, gold and all what's not,

An early trap for all our greed,

Traps in which we all must rot,

For death her herald blows his reed.  

Life is like a deck of cards,

Always changing, never ending.
