God is a good God,
He's an awesome God indeed,
I have faith in Him.

AFRICA MY AFRICAI've got a home somewhere,
A place where I can go back to, A place where I love so much, Where the sunsets drags the sky behind it, The animals herald the coming of the night stars, The elders gather the children, And stories come to life, Africa, My home, My heritage. |
STREET LOVEIf there's one thing I've got,
It's my love for the streets, Where every soldier is a Captain, Players always win, And the strong get stronger.
If there's one thing I've got, It's my respect for the streets, Where boys become men, And men become brothers.
If there's one thing I've learnt, It's the rules of the streets, Where everyone stands for their rights, The women stand and fight, And the world goes on. |

FREE LIKE WATERThe water is alive, Dive into it and it'll bare its fangs, Always flowing, Never stopping, Very gentle but so deadly, Harbringer of life and death, Cool, Calm, Possessive, Enthralling, What more can I say to describe water? Deadly, Churning, Violent, Rough, Yet it possesses what we all seek, Freedom, Water is free, Nothing can stop it. |
WHAT MAMAO TOLD METhe moon glistens as I wait in anticipation, For Mamao has brought out her stool tonight, We sit in a circle nobody in conversation, For now she shall speak her words so wise and bright.
We listen; us children, to her magical words, Miss a word and surely you shall be lost, For long she speaks without a pause, The knowledge of our tribe, she speaks to us thus.
The toad does not run during the day for no reason, Something has disturbed it out of the sand, The pest that devours the eggplant lies in its bosom, For within lies the problem at hand.
What else Mamao said, I shall tell you someday, For I must sleep, it is the end of the day. |
A WOMAN CALLED MOTHERI've got to make a tribute to my mother, The woman who never said never, The one who never called my dreams a blunder, I just know I'll love you forever.
Don't remember much from when I was a baby, But I heard tales from one lovely lady, You were the one who never told me maybe, Because you kept from dark paths so shady.
I remember a litle from when I was a toddler, That I loved the woman that I called mother, Day after day I know i'd wonder, If you'd let me take dark path and go asunder.
The days came when I was a naughty teenager, I never had a frown because I'd see you later, I prayed for days that nothing would ever change her, Because if she did i'd always be in danger.
And now i'm a man called an adult, |
