Poetic Injustice

Blood stained into the ground on the sidewalk where he told her "its over"

Up her apartment stairs and onto her doorstep

Drops of blood and tears on the carpet

Blood leading to broken glass in the living room

Tables broken, glass shattered from anger and pain

Her hands cut with glass

"What's wrong?" Her mother asked and she replied "you wouldn't understand"

The blood gets on the doorknob and door to her room which she slams harder than the way she fell for him

She throws herself on the bed and continues to bleed and cry out as her mother questions her actions

Memories of what was and what could have been began to flash in front of her

They soon become tears and with every wipe of every tear she erases those expectations

The bleeding in her hands stop as she begins to stop crying

But the bleeding that began outside on the sidewalk will only stop when she finds someone who can repair her broken heart
