Skid row between 2nd and 7th St
Families huddled up living on the streets
Kids living this way because
Mama and daddy can’t stay clean
Can’t seem to escape the dope scene
Enslaved by the demon fiend
One hit after another
Is all they care about do you doubt
What I’m talking about
Hit these streets and walk it out
Their trying to cope with everyday life
Wide awake because dreams come at night
When consciousness won’t keep quiet
Singing like a church choir
Switch to secular
Getting higher on fire
It burns to learn the truth
Nobody cares about me
Nobody cares about you
If you don’t believe me
Just fall to the bottom
You’ll find you’re in trouble
You’ll see the devil
Smiling back at you
How did you get here
From so far up there
Stars do fall
Clouds and the moon too
Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Mars
Neptune, Saturn, Uranus
A ssed out no doubt
Walk it out
