Heart as silent as twilight,
Eyes impenetrable to light,
Breath as still as a lion about to attack,
These are my thoughts in the night as I lay on my back.
Sweet pungent thoughts of vengeance flow like wine,
As tempting as it may I will take my time.
No line shall be over rehearsed,
As I carry no feelings as I do no purse.
Frightened as to what may happen if I shall ever fall again,
I shall call every man my disenchanting friend.
As fate will have it I can never turn a blind eye,
With both my eyes I see straight through you're once thought impenetrable lies.
Now with heart racing,
And my eyes adjusting to the view,
I fear above all things I can see the real you.
For once I know to be blinded I could have been happy for a while longer,
And my heart might have been a bit stronger.
It clings to you as a child to its mother,
But in your opinion you feel smothered.
I rip the grasp to shreds along with everything you've ever given me,
Our love is lost as if it were thrown in the sea.
