When I look into your eyes
The first things I see,
Is the tenderness of your soul
And the love you have for me.
The sound of your voice
Humbles me to the core,
Reassuring our togetherness
Is nothing less than forever more.
Your kiss is warm and gentle
As a midnight's summer breeze,
That seems to last into Autumn
Until the leaves fall from the trees.
Your arms wrap around me
Holding me oh so tight,
Never does the thought of letting go
Arise until morning's light.
As I place my arms around you
I lay my head on your chest,
Your heartbeat is strong yet soothing
To my ear as my eyes begin to rest.
These are the ways you comfort me
Each an individual soothing touch,
Never could a love be greater
From someone I love so much.
