My heart is yours even more now than before 
But it's too afraid to cut itself open, peel back its layers to let you see how it weeps for you more than my eyes 
Just so our lips can touch 
Because after all this time the only way I can feel the real you is when we touch inappropriately 

Noose

While the leaves tried to hide the truth and the branches gripped your noose 
You held on to the ghost that you once knew 

You begged the devil to cut 
you free
But he used and abused you 
Now you got everything to lose
So you sang a prayer or two 
Praying for mercy for a sinner like you 

You said your final goodbyes and you promised you left that life behind 
But God knows every truth and he sees it in your eyes 

So take back all your lies and speak the book of life 
And watch how God changes your soul
And the turn your sins from red to white 

I know that times get rough 
But you must understand
That this world is not your home
So take up your sword and go
And march on to the promise land 

I Gave It...Its Name

I tried so hard to slay the demon inside 
Neglected the very fact that I gave it...its name 

I fed it long ago 
With all the stories I told 
Served it lies and deceit 
Meanwhile, expecting it not to ruin my flame

I remembered the day when "it" and "I" became one 
The day my flesh was upon another flesh 
Of course, not in holy matrimony 
Ever since then I was never the same 

I thought my sin would lose its reign
But, it had so much more to gain 
For my body was inhabited by a host who's tactic was completely insane 

I watched how my light slowly dimmed it's shade
Tried its hardest to hid the pain 
But, my face reflected the shame 
While the darkness within engulfed my skin
And left me to be lamed 

Silence

I never quite understood why the silence numbed my soul                         It wasn't the silence of an empty room                                                         It was more of the silence within                                                                The one that captivated my mind                                ...

But, is tainted by unwanted notions
