Wordplay
Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.
Physical wounds heal easy but, words always seem to kill me
Revealing the things I've question leaving my self-esteem lingering.
To nothing.
Let's play with some words, and see what we really say.
Drake said "no new friends",
which shrinks the mind to believe everyone is disloyal that theirs a hidden agenda that lies beneath
a simple
hello...
how are you?
Or that the friends you have are always true.
See even as Jesus loved judas he sat at his table to bring him to a ruin.
Lil Wayne said "money is the motivation"
what happened to the motivation being peace or justice for you and me.
See what we say is what we think and what we think is who we are so who are you?
Or at least trying to be?
These May just be quotes and you feel they don't apply
but take a minute and look in the mirror and you'll see that's a lie.
We call our women "es"and "hoes"we call our men "s"
As if it's endearing,
as if God created us to be "his " "his "
I'm not black power but,
I am fed up with lessons we don't learn.
How about I say you're beautiful
Now I'm just thirsty
How about your essence is beyond the complexity of what I perceive so eloquently and gently put simple perplexity
Well that would just make me a nerd.
Not comprehending a word I've said.
I despise this world and everything man has created to associate each other with these things.
Justifying being underrated.
Not being aware of what you're saying is like spitting in Jesus face but steady praying for a miracle to take place.
When all along,
All you've done is takin the place of judas.
Wordplay, don't dig your grave be mindful of what you do and don't say.
