The sounds of gunshots echoes in the streets

Another one down

A member of our community

It breaks my heart

And it baffles me

Black men Black men

Can't you see

That your destroying eachother

Breaking down your community

Shooting and Killing

Robbing and Stealing

And what's the price to pay

Y'all killing off eachother so they won't have to do it

Another one gone

One point for the government

But you carry a trait that won't allow you to see

Ignorance

A race of people at war with eachother

Breaking down eachother

instead of coming together

Unless it's self defense

I will never understand

What it will profit you to take another man

Lose your life, your freedom, your family

Then turn around and blame it on society

Mentally stuck

Locked up in a cell

Angry, mad and raising hell

FAIL

A disappointment to your community

I speak the truth so don't be mad at me

Facts

Reality

You are who you choose to be

I wouldn't let my circumstances define me

Reach

Build

Above your society

If other black men can do it then so can you

Let your determination and drive motivate you

One, Two, Three

Another black man down

Gunshots and Crying

Echoes around my town
