Jesse ran a race past the poles
Chased by those who opposed
Like George blood is in my eyes
Like Eldridge my souls on ice
Like Angela had to flee to the other side
Like Steven
Fred was stoned and he died
Still freedom continues to cry
My God, My God
Why have you abandoned me?
The struggle is still on
We are still marching to
Overcome
Born free from the soil
Brain washed
Away with us all
The dragon rose
I suppose
We are suppose to embrace
This change of weather
Far from what we knew
Like sheep scattered and confused
By choice we choose
Between the blues and the reds
The blue we are back in Kansas
Still in bed
Left far behind
By those who chose red
Deception is in the care
Because no one does
If only at the same time
We all could wakeup
