Persevered

Muscles ache
Sweat drips from my brow
An exasperated huff
Grinding my teeth
Narrowing eyes
I spring forward
Lifting as high as the clouds themselves
Grunting and panting
Fighting back the tears
Tearing my tendons
Shedding old skin
Complete reversal
Hot tingling sensation
