An inner growl softly escapes your throat
Your burrows draw
Your eyes narrow
You can’t believe the boldness in people
The dam is cracking
They see you beneath them
What you do and who you are bothers them
Only seeing you as nothing but space
It shows in their voice
And on their face
You inhale and exhale
Calmness is the key
And all you want to do is scream get away from me
But they judge you instantly
Are they true?
Hell no
You realize something that you forgot
That you will never take anyone crap
They may flap their gums
But words are powerful and so are yours
So never again will that retort go unheard
You are more than what they think
What they see
Or what they hear
Radiate confidence
Never allow people to judge
Stand proud
Your nose in the sky
Speak loud and clear
Look them straight in the eye
And let that inner voice that knows you
The voice that believes in you be heard
And rip into their lies
Shatter that image they believe of you
Stand up for yourself
Show your strength
Embrace you weakness
And never allow words to have power over you
