The Child I Didn't Have

CATEGORY

To the child I didn't have. Me and your father would have been the best mom and dad we didn't have. I would have given you the love my mother didn't give and your father would provide you with attention he always wanted. But I guess we didn't deserve it. So God took you back. I must admit I'm in disbelief. But I guess a mother, I wasn't meant to be. I guess it was bad timing. So you see, me and your dad are not on the best of terms. Maybe God don't want us to have you during our mess. I don't want to make this speech to long and so sad. I just want to say I love you and watch over me and your dad.

This poem didn't say too much nor too little. I felt the longing as well as the truth. How our past seeps into our present and affects our future. Choices made for us or by us. Thank you for sharing
