I spit fire to set aflame the pages of my biography, call me an arsonist.

words of multiple meanings tell of a complex, yet simple personality,

change 123.

knowledge earned from constant battles of hardship, I am legend,

being reborn again as God breathes new life in me, I rise like the Pheonix.

homeward bound since birth I do not belong here,

each day I continue my journey towards the end of days I show no fear.

far from lonely the enemy can never own me,

I bear my armor, sword, and shield against foes who show no mercy.

I stand firm in my beliefs praying daily to God,

storing mp3s of musical hymns and the Word to keep me going for my brain is an Ipod.

here I stand,

words of yesterday I spoke of my testimony,

exposing myself for all to see.

I acknowledged my flaws, guilt, and shame,

for all of you were a witness to what I became.

here me now for I'm more than a conqueror, Marvin Sapp,

and I may not be the strongest or the swiftest, but I learned to adapt.

believe me when I say that my mistakes is not who I am,

the accomplishments of today, and the goals of tomorrow are the makings of a great man.

trust me that negativity and bigotry no longer offends me.

just know that my life is not my own and the time is at hand for me to claim what's mine.

so I ask you,

if He is for me then who can stand against me?
