Shook and rolled the dice
I'm not usually a gambling man
But still I took the risk
Like the ball in a roulette wheel
I keep going round and round
Spinning, turning, and coming up short
The house always wins
The love game's been rigged
So caught up in love's allure
Everything seemed so sure
Pure clean innocent fun
Turned into bizarre guilty pleasures
Selfish desires
Unnecessary wants
An addiction of sorts
An assortment of situations
Love is too valuable
But also it's priceless
It can't be bought
It has to be taught
Studied and passed around
With knowledge comes responsibility
Now I know better
Next time I'll try
To love responsibly
