The Zoo

CATEGORY

just different

There's no peace in the morningtime; don't mind what's in my sight, I go to sleep to wake and find there's no peace in the night,

the animals are loud and rowdy then I know the truth, my life is like a daytime trip; we're goin to the zoo.

I sit within my cage while realizing nothing's fair, the people came to see a show so they don't f**king care,

just gauging my reaction see but I don't smile at sh!t, the only thing the public gets from me are piles of sh!t,

and this is where I sit all day come sun or cloudy rain, my life inside this zoo is just without a doubt insane,

it's not my natural habitat; I try to get along, I'm weak right now but ev'ryday the monkey's gettin strong.

The keeper's gonna slip one day and leave the cage unlocked, he pokes me with a stick but wonders why the rage don't stop,

his carcass is the mat I'll use to make my great escape, my strength is in the purple, just call me the grapest ape.

I know one day that God'll listen and He'll hear me clear, I now know why the caged bird sings; the time is nearly here,

abscond from where I'm just not wanted, that's just what to do, cause life's not worth the pain of living in a f**kin zoo.
