CRASH AND BURN

CATEGORY

Like two cars driving towards each other we play chicken with our love saying all the hurtful things that instead of us loving one another push us into living as separate beings

Sharing the same space but we are so far apart that we might as well be in two different cars on two unfamiliar roads

I didn’t see the pot holes coming or the sign that said curve in the road all I saw were sunny days so I put my feelings on cruise control

Love is not suppose to hurt it endures through any kind of pain then why do I find myself sliding on asphalt  that is  oh so slick with rain

Driving faster I see the headlights coming towards me and still I choose to have my way I hope what we are fighting about was important is all I have to say

All it took was for one of us to turn instead we choose to be stubborn in our collision and decide to crash and burn
