Day Dreamer:

We sat amongst the stars last night,

sand beneath our feet, the moonlight reflecting

against the ocean, a sight so sweet.

We sat there for hours, you keeping me warm under

your arms, the moment we shared was ours.

The wind was blowing just right, we held hands,

my head lay against your shoulder, you holding me

tight when the breeze got colder.

The moonlight bringing light to the darkness, on the beach

us hand in hand you were my forturess.

Just as we were about to share our first kiss,

my thoughts were interrupted, the dream I tried to get back

trying to reconstruct it.

I tryed to close my eyes and place myself back in that

very moment but I couldn't, feelings of disappointment,

the day dream I was really enjoying,

Fighting off feelings that felt very real so it seemed.

I had to come to the conclusion that it was only me day

dreaming, confusing the ability and power of the mind,

and the real world, trying to connect the to and the in between.

In the end all it was, was a me simply day dreaming.
